‘The One Where She Makes Taxes Fun’
Now that I have your attention……..
I am a Certified Public Accountant based in Tillamook, Oregon, serving individuals and businesses throughout the state through a secure, virtual practice. My work focuses primarily on individual and small-business income tax preparation, with an emphasis on helping clients navigate complex tax situations with clarity and confidence.
I earned my Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management Administration from Western Oregon University, with a minor in Entrepreneurship. My professional background began in the family retail business on the Oregon Coast, where I spent more than a decade managing operations for a growing multi-location company. Working in a small business environment provided valuable firsthand experience with the operational, financial, and administrative challenges business owners face every day.
During that time I handled a wide range of responsibilities including collections, vendor relations, customer dispute resolution, employee training, and point-of-sale system implementation. Like many small-business environments, job descriptions were fluid and problem-solving was part of daily operations. This experience gave me a practical understanding of business operations that continues to inform how I work with clients today.
After many years in business management, I returned to school to complete the additional academic requirements needed to sit for the CPA exam. After completing the required education, passing all four sections of the Uniform CPA Examination, and fulfilling the 2,000-hour supervised experience requirement under a CPA with more than 30 years of experience, I earned my license as a Certified Public Accountant in the State of Oregon.
In addition to my CPA practice, I serve as an Accounting Manager for the Tillamook farmer-owned cooperative, where I am proud to support an organization that has deep roots in Oregon’s agricultural community. This role allows me to work closely with financial reporting, operational accounting, and the financial systems that support a large and complex cooperative business.
Through my CPA practice, I work with individuals, entrepreneurs, and small business owners across Oregon to provide thoughtful tax preparation and guidance tailored to each client’s unique situation. I particularly enjoy helping small business owners understand the financial and tax side of their operations so they can make confident, informed decisions.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my family, exploring the outdoors, camping, and being involved in the local community.
